Stepping Into a Universe of Possibility
As we approach the 250th anniversary of our country on July 4, what if we embraced the second practice described in The Art of Possibility written by Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander?
Practice 2: Stepping into a Universe of Possibility
What if we lived the ideas described below?
“In Our America – All people are equal. Love wins. Black lives matter. Immigrants and refugees are welcome. Disabilities are respected. Women are in charge of their bodies. People and planet are valued over profit. Diversity is celebrated.”
These words were created by IN OUR AMERICA LOVE WINS. “Since 2016 the In Our America flags and related merchandise have allowed for donation of more than $200,000 to organizations working to realize the values on the flag. Now we have our sights set on raising more to support more work than ever.”
“The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.”
These words by U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy at the 1980 Democratic National Convention are more important than ever as we approach the 250th anniversary of our country.
Let us keep alive the art of possibility by stepping into a universe of possibility where…
“In Our America – All people are equal. Love wins. Black lives matter. Immigrants and refugees are welcome. Disabilities are respected. Women are in charge of their bodies. People and planet are valued over profit. Diversity is celebrated.”
Let us each take one more small step, one more breath, then another to keep alive the dream of what is possible for America!
“Don’t do nothing because you can’t do everything!”
